Quality & Compliance Associate

Job Description

We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of specific incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Read Customer & Company SOP's to comprehend the quality expectations for the individual products, kits, etc.
  • Approve or reject materials with respect to quality standards
  • Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day, etc.
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with quality standards.
  • Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the appropriate manager.
Skills
  • Able to follow step-by-step instructions precisely and with little error.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • PC literate with basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • High School Degree; Further qualifications will be a plus
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

Fulfillment Supervisor

Job Description

Currently, we’re seeking a Fulfillment Manager to grow and manage all inbound and outbound activities in our fulfillment center in San Jose. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time while managing a team of up to 50 employees.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supporting safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment
  • Developing performance goals and objectives to achieve customer expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
  • Developing performance goals and objectives to achieve customer expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives
  • Building and executing productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other team members to balance labor
  • Communicating policies to Alpacka associates and acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
  • Ensuring procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
  • Creating, managing, and supporting recognition and communication programs
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems required (Logiwa, 3PL, etc.)
Skills
  • This position is not a desk job. We are a small operation. You will be required to engage in physical warehouse activities when needed: This could include:
  • Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds each
  • Bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head when needed
  • Frequent walking in the building and around warehouse areav
  • Standing and walking for many hours at a time
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways when needed
Qualifications
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • You have over 3+ years of management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
  • You are a leader and exhibit that in your everyday work.
  • You not only have experience in managing a team of 30+ employees, you also lead process improvements though Lean process, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.
  • You have the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, and when given a deadline you know how to motivate yourself and meet it.
  • You don’t hesitate to speak publicly and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are able to create and implement warehouse best practices globally and client specifically.
  • You like analytical work and use data to provide thought-provoking and workable solutions.
  • You have a track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • You see value in long term thinking and large scale impact to a company.
  • Ability to speak Vietnamese is a plus.

Inventory Control Associate

Job Description

As a 3PL Company, our company manages inventory for multiple clients in our warehouse. As our Inventory Control Specialist, you will be tracking that inventory as it moves throughout our warehouse via: receiving, assembly, storage and fulfillment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Audits our customers’ inventory on a regular basis and provide reports to management.
  • Inspecting Inventory
  • Performing Cycle Counts
  • Tracking items, parts and products in our Warehouse Management System
  • Maintaining Inventory Records
  • Identifying Challenges, Finding Root Cause and Implementing Corrective Action
  • Develops and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present.
  • Trains other employees in cycle counting and inventory control.
  • Reports to customers when defective goods or a shortage or overage of goods are found in the inventory
Skills
  • Proficient with numbers and accounting so that errors can be found and corrected in a timely manner
  • Proficient with Inventory Tracking Software and the tracking of inventory both manually and systematically.
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing conditions and solve problems quickly.
  • Shows the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in a related field; in addition to related field knowledge of Inventory Control, Inventory Tracking Systems & strong understanding of numbers.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a related field.
  • Working for a Fulfillment Company a plus.
